[...the area near "yellow jacket hill" is quite overgrown and the poison ivy is in full swing. There were also two 10 inch trees down between "yellow jacket hill" and the bamboo. Sweet! ;D Hey folks, don't let these reports scare you. The back trail goes through a miraculous transformation the week prior to the race. Chef Raymon' & I sacrifice blood, sweat & tears for you!

Can I run the race AND still partake of the beer drinking, burger eating and runner hecking like Lane, Sally & Janice while doing my laps? ;D Absolutely ;D Planning on going over there this week Sarah for the official 'yellow jacket nest' and 'briar patch' hunt--will report back on conditions ASAP. Jill Thanks ;D

I love my girly pink Nike Imara watch. But it suddenly won't store any new data. I cleared the old data and it says NO DATA, so there certainly should be room. But when I press & hold the stop button to store my current run as data, I get nothing. Nada. Zilch. It just stares back at me. Any suggestions?

Can I bring a case of Gatorade or something for the aid station to ease my guilt? All contributions greatly appreciated ;D

I found East Cowetta Middle School on Hwy 16 just south of Turin. It has the potential to be locked, but generally isn't.

Looks like East Coweta High School is the closest. Unfortunately they keep that one locked up. Next!

Lane Lane, I'll put you down for a beer-drinking, burger-eating, runner-heckling volunteer...just like all the others...especially Sally and Janice ;D

I've learned that the track is open to the public during the week after 5:00 pm. Still don't know of any morning or weekend hours.

Do any of you when when the track at Agnes Scott is open for the community to use? And is the track at Avondale High ever open? Any other suggestions on tracks in the Avondale/Oakhurst/BelvederePark are?

I think such a large increase in an economy where folks are lucky to have jobs and struggling to make ends meet is irresponsible and just downright stupid. The rangers I talked with at Sweetwater Creek over the weekend are quite concerned that this will severely impact park use.

I've emailed the state park contact to see if it's possible to purchase online today. I also expressed my disapproval of the fee hike Found this to be quite interesting:

Not that I can see. They're screwing us totally. I'm actually thinking of heading to Panola Mtn at lunch tomorrow (tuesday) to get a pass.
