Sarah, I've been looking to do a GUTS race and this one looks to be it. Question...I have to work at the fire house the day before, is there a mandatory check in time? I didnt see one, but could have overlooked it. Thanks, Scotty

YaHooo!!! I made it in. I've been thinking about doing this for years, but then I wise up. The economy makes this a great event. 8 hours for only 20 bucks!!!
Can I bring a case of Gatorade or something for the aid station to ease my guilt?

It does seem like high endurance volunteering, but I can sit in the shade, drink, and eat. It's also close to where I eat, drink, and sleep. -Rick

Can I run the race AND still partake of the beer drinking, burger eating and runner hecking like Lane, Sally & Janice while doing my laps? ;D
Planning on going over there this week Sarah for the official 'yellow jacket nest' and 'briar patch' hunt--will report back on conditions ASAP.

I didn't see any yellow jackets. However, the area near "yellow jacket hill" is quite overgrown and the poison ivy is in full swing. There were also two 10 inch trees down between "yellow jacket hill" and the bamboo. When were you planning to go out there?
