GUTS did a fantastic job putting this event together and Mother Nature was just as nice to throw some spectacular Fall weather our way. I ran the 12 miler and can attest that it was every bit as challenging as I hoped! Thank you again to all of the volunteers who worked the start/finish and the various aid stations. Cheers!

I agree. Everything was perfect. The race organization, food, course, weather...everything.
We couldn't have had a better day!!
GUTS events are always top-notch.

Everyone, Words can't express the gratitude and appreciation I feel for the volunteers that helped with today's race. The love and support that you showed me on the course made my first Marathon truly a memorable one. Thanks So Much!!! Patrick de Albuquerque

Most don't realize Pat spent hours marking the course on Saturday! Really many, many thanks to all the volunteers. GUTS could not have not done it without so many dedicated people willing to support the race and runners. i will write volumes tomorrow, but wanted to at least eek out a thanks before i collapse tonight.... janice RD

...Most don't realize Pat spent hours marking the course on Saturday!... So now I know who it was that tied all of those ribbons, double-knotted, on every sticker bush on Fort Mountain! As I sit here, typing with fingers scarred from trying to remove those ribbons from the thorns, I want to thank you for marking the course better than I have ever seen a course marked! It was a pain in the bootie to remove them, but as a runner who gets lost at every race, I think you did a great job!

Just wanted to say Thank You to GUTS for putting on an amazing run! This was my first marathon, so I don't have much to compare it to other than bike races. But the aid stations were awesome! The food and all the volunteers were great. I can't wait to do another one. You guys are awesome.
Whoever designed the course is sick in the head! It was GREAT! The powerline climb was ridiculous! Very Cool!

I want to echo all what has already been said. I am a brand new GUTS Member/ Ultra runner who ran the marathon course. I was very impressed with the course markings, volunteers, snacks, and that absolutely wonderful soup!!
I am running another tough race in 5 weeks so this was perfect preparation. The funniest part of the whole day was when I said this is the first race that I had to walk on......Janice let a a scream of "YESSSS".
What a course, what an event! I'll be back next year for sure.
