I need folks to mark the course on Saturday, December 13. I break the course up in sections so nobody has to do over 10 or 11 miles. Prefer you mark in pairs and have experience on technical trails! Marking consists of tying white ribbons along the course. Easy! All volunteers get the coveted fleece beanie, and an invitation to the Volunteer Dinner on Saturday night. ;D

Hi Richard,
GUTS will no longer be doing the Reactor Run. But we do have a new 24 hour run at Ft Benning which will be in March of 2012. As a 50k option, you may also want to check out the Sweetwater 50k at Sweetwater Creek State Park in April.

May want to bring a back up. Course can be muddy on a couple of sections. And you hit that section over and over and over and over and over....

NightOwl: Don't know what to tell you about the PDF. I just downloaded it and it worked fine. You can email the contact person from their website and I'm sure she can send you another form. And yes, I'm absolutely sure they'll take race day registrations.

Looks like rain and above freezing all week. Probably another mud year. Yaks are worthless in mud.

HAS ANYONE RECEIVED THEIR HOODIE IN THE MAIL? I HAVEN'T GOTTEN A RESPONSE ON STATUS VIA EMAIL. LOOKING FORWARD TO SPORTING THIS WHILE IT'S STILL COLD THANKS! I haven't received an email from you, Todd. I've shipped 38 sweatshirts in the past week. Hope to get the rest out this week. Sorry for the delay, but it's a very time consuming process.

epicdad: The trails at Pine Mountain/FDR are VERY rocky, and those rocks are mostly covered with leaves in December so you can never be sure where to put your feet. It's really rough on tender ankles, so spend as much time on technical trails as you can over the next few weeks.
