Hello there everyone, want/need some advise as i am forever trying to find shoes to fit my fat feet. I'm typically in New Balance because they are really the only vendor that is putting out multiple models of wider shoes - I've loved the previous series, but am at a cross-road now as I have to replace 2 pairs of trail shoes that are just worn out!
background: i am a novice runner - typically around 20 miles per week, broken up between 3, maybe 4 runs. I am always with my dog and always on trails! typical size is 10.5 4E, but have gotten into a couple 2E 10.5 that work. anything narrower (like even the wider Brooks) are not doable unfortunately. I'm flat footed (thanks a lot USMC ;-). and have a normal stride without any interior/exterior rotation. I like to run in the rain, so long as the trail isn't prohibitively sloppy and slick.
in speaking to the experts at Big Peach (thanks Steve!!), he suggested i solicit the distributed intelligence this forum can reach... so, what says you the general running public? Are the new NB 875 any bit as good as the previous models (review boards says NO WAY, bring back the old ones!!). Could the NB 909 be my answer? Maybe the 840 in a size 11??
thanks so much! looking forward to your feedback :-)
