This may not count but Jen and I were trail running on vacation and found a golf cart in the woods. Didn't get to keep it though, no way to bring it back home, but I think those things cost about $2,000! We did however go back to the cart and use it a few days free of charge.

;D All finds count if you claim the find and turn it into cash and put into the Pinhoti Piggy Aid Bank. ;D Don't go stealth it thou Was out 5 hours in the heat today on my morning run, which turned into two hours into the afternoon. Just found one penny, also found six tire weights, a large piece of Aluminum off the undercarriage of a car. They must have lost a tire. This was about a pound and a half, so I had to carry it for 7 miles. Good training for Pinhoti 100m where I'll probably need to carry more. Ended up with about three pounds of aluminum and some copper. Also, found a Koozie with Waterside - watersideRedtop.com Appears I need to make my Lotto Runs pay off if I want to enjoy that good life. watersideredtop.com/pages/villageprices2.html The Koozie is nice thou, keep my COORS cool while I post. I think the Waterside at Red Top means I'm ingorning the trails!!! So make be my sign for the week!!!

OK, I'm officially whacko. I'm not sure if I am becoming a nut, otr if I have always had the nut gene and it has finally kicked in. (I do have several nutballs in the family tree!)
So ... I went for an 18 mile run today that turned into a 21.75 mile run because I was feeling good and added on the run on whim. Unfortunately for my feet, it was on the streets not the trails. But, the streets are better for Pinhoti treasure hunting!
(Here is where my adult onset dementia reared its ugly head ...)
Today I wanted to make sure that I went slow. Real slow. So I started picking up more tire weights, nuts, bolts, car parts, etc, than I normally would. By mile 8+ I had so much stuff in my pocket that my shorts were hanging precariously low on one side. Plus, both of my hands had all they could handle. So, I took a detour and swung by the Big Peach store on Johnson Ferry and had them hold my Pinhoti Treasures for me. (right before I made it to Big Peach, I found a pair of Nike sandals. I picked them up and carried them in too! At this point I had a whole bunch of tire weights, sixteen cents in change, a tent stake, a couple of lug nuts, a pair of sandals, etc, but the two big items were a seven inch long by one inch thick solid metal bar and a very heavy engine pulley (I guess that is what it is called. It is the round wheel that a fan belt wraps wround - I'm guessing the car that dropped it didn't run so well on the stretch of road behind me.) Why in the heck I ran about 5 miles with my hands full of steel and a pair of sandals. I'll never know ... but it gets worse.
After dropping my stuff at Big Peach, I headed on down Lower Roswell Rd. and past the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Not much to find in this stretch - too busy dodging cars! But after I turned onto Roswell Street from Azalea, the treasure hunt went into overdrive! Before I reached Roswell Square I had reloaded my pocket with tire weights, a big, square, hunk of iron, and was carrying another trimmer blade, a ten inch long nail, and the coup de grĂ¢ce, one half of a iron cover to a water meter. OK, maybe not the meter. I'm not sure what these things cover, but it is about six inches across, was formerly round, and says "water" on it. And the dang thing is heavy!! And, being an idiot, I carried the stupid thing from about halfway up the hill to Roswell Square, all the way down 120 and then down Johnson Ferry back to Big Peach (thanks to Joe for giving me a ride home from there!) My arm was about to fall off, but like gitagoing says, "good Pinhoti training". Add to that the skies had cleared, the sun was out, and the humidity was soaring! The last three miles were a painful shuffle and even though I saw more booty, I did not have room in my pocket, or my hands, and I was just too tired to bend over ... although I did find the energy to pick up a quarter and several pennies at the Timber Ridge intersection! I finally stumbled into Big Peach pretty dehydrated and just slap wore out!
When I got home I weighed my treasures, now in a yellow Big Peach bag, on my bathroom scales - 12 pounds! (not including the sandals)
Total coinage - $0.61
I might post a full inventory of the metal objects tomorrow!
