I know they are unofficial and what not - JR actually did 32 laps instead of 22, but can you keep him at 32? He pushed me once - should be a 10 lap penalty

Hey Sarah, I was just looking at the pictures and noticed that in the picture of the leaderboard Adam McBride has 41 laps but in the unofficial results he is listed as having 36. Which is correct?

Hmm, I'm betting on the 41. But I don't have the data with me right now. I'll double check ALL counts tonight. Sorry for the mass confusion everyone. It's been one of those weeks. And for those of you who cursed the RD for eight hours on Saturday, you'll be happy to know that she's running Laurel Valley this weekend...mid 90s for 10 hours and no aid stations!

Semi-official results are now online. After painstakingly counting every lap for every runner, a few numbers changed. Any disputes will have to wait until next week. If requested, I can send of you your splits. But, again, that will have to wait until next week. We're only human. Counting laps the way we do is bound to lead to mistakes along the way. Runners often come through the start/finish in a pack. The confusion is compounded when a runner comes in, hangs out a while either at the aid station or his/her car, and then heads out after several minutes. On the lap sheets, this looks like either a long lap or a missed one. I obviously need to come up with a better way to count that is less dependent on a counter remaining entirely focused for eight hours. But until that time, please be patient with us
