Hi - I'm an ultrarunner who lives in Midtown Atlanta. I did my first 50 miler last week in California and I'm signed up for the Nashville Ultra (80K) Oct 17. Is there anyone else out there doing this race? I've got one person who is coming in from Memphis who's helping to pace and crew me but I'd really like to know other people from my area who will be running this. Can you please get in touch? Thanks so much! Ashley Fantz 786 566 2219

Hi Ashley!
I might be doing it. Beth M is definitely doing it. I also know of two other girls from the Atlanta area who are doing it.

Ashley - just a suggestion, but ya might want to take your phone number off your post since this is in the area of the forums where anybody and their brother can see it. ... of course, it has been there for over a month ad I just now noticed this thread.

Beth and I did the Nashville 80K ( they have a 50K, 60K and 70K) and I HIGHLY recommend it. It was incredibly well organized and a perfect first 50 mile race.

Congratulations! I hope the weather was nice and not too brisk.
How much (% wise) of your run was on paving? For the sections that were paved, were you running on jogging/bike trails, or closed streets?
Cheers!

The grassy sections were closed due to all the rain and a tiny bit was on gravel. The rest was on asphalt. It was on the greenway in Nashville and only had a very small section on the road but that section was safe. The streets that required crossing had a volunteer to warn you. The majority was in beautiful park areas such as Shelby Park. The organization was amazing and there were mile markers everywhere!
