Are the sorba trails the old horse trail that parallels the pavement or something completely different?

redbull - 1. Yes. On the northerly side of the trail there is what appears to be a railroad car used as a police outpost next to Homer Leggett Park and the ChainStation. 2. The ChainStation sells water and sports drinks and a few edibles, but I don't know the hours of operation. XTERRA races purportedly provide only water and sports drink. 3. People run the trail early, but technically it is not open until daybreak. If you must run early, it is generally safer to run with other people. There is some parking at HLP. I hope this helps. As I recall, the SORBA trails they plan to use as part of this race are not spectacular, but include some decent single track which could give most runners a workout. /Lee awesome... thank you! if i dont have to work ill prob do this cheers

Trail parking lot is at the mile 14.5 the hiram trailhead. I have run the trail early but it is closed so they could stop you and tell you to get off but that is unlikely. These are the horse trails that parallel the comet but with a lot more work done to them. The trail goes all the way to the trestle mile 23 which is a great workout. Not sure of any food available at the site but within a mile there are numerous restaurants and coffe shops. Look forward to seeing people on these trails that pauldingsorba has worked very hard on. John.
