I am planning on running my first 50 miler sometime yet this year. Was wondering which would be the best for my first time? Need to stay in the SE for this. All feedback and volunteers to join me are welcome. ;D

Hey me too. I was thinking JFK 50 in November. But trying to find an easy to get to 50miler in SE as well. I see lots of 50k's but hardly any 50 milers. Let me know if you find any thanks Dan

Hi, I saw 2 on the UltraRUNNING online Magzine site. One in WV area probably a9-10 hour drive from ATL area and one in TN maybe 5-6 hour drive. The Tn race is a loop course around 8 miles each. Anything in WV will be a real challenge (hilly). While I have not run Bartlett Park I know a couple of people who have and they did fine. My first 50 was a loop course it made a difference having some of my stuff accessible each loop. Only down side to loops is you may want to stop before you reach 50 and maybe a little boredom. Hope this helps!
