Hello Board, I am a new member and have been lurking and reading the posts and blogs of alot of people here. I have really enjoyed it and learned alot. I have a question...For 2 days when I run my lower calf starts to hurt and get worse the more I run. Not the large muscle right below the knee and not the heel ..but the area from below the larger muscle to about 2 in above the ankle. It does not hurt when I walk. Has anyone else ever had this and how did you deal with it.

That sounds like it could be your Achilles. Find a diagram of the Achilles online and you'll see that it goes a decent ways above the ankle into the lower calf muscle. Good luck with resolving whatever is causing it -- running injuries are no fun.
