I know I spoke with several of you at the FA50 about running the Iron Horse in Florida on February 21. For those potentially interested, the course is a converted rail trail that looks to be mostly grass and maybe a bit of gravel. It's essentially a 25-mile out and back that runners will repeat a couple/few times depending on the level of punishment you're willing to subject yourself to. I remember speaking with at least 3-4 people who expressed strong interest, so we may have significant GUTS representation and a carpool/caravan for the trip. www.ironhorse100kmclub.com/So who's in? And is anyone interested in sharing a car and room? I don't bite...on race weekends. I'll be registering for the 100km, but would stay Friday and Saturday night anyway for anyone shooting for the 100mile.

Im doing the 100k and so in Jon Obst, Andrew Powell is doing 100m, Jill Floyd is doing the 50 miler. If your not running Mountain Mist, I'm doing a 30 mile training run that day if your interested. I'm going to roswel park cause the trail is similar. -Jen

A 30 mile training run is well beyond my capabilities at this time, but I am curious. What does that entail? I know that sounds like a dumb question, but I really don't know. Are you really going to just go out and run 30 miles straight? Do you walk the hills (or at other times)? Do you take a short break every couple of laps (food, blister check)? How fast do you run? I'm just trying to figure out if I'm one year or five from being able to accomplish something like this.
