Does anyone know if this race is on, and what the date would be this year? I need to plan a beach trip and don't want to miss it.

YES!!! I LOVE that race. Seriously, if you haven't done it, its totally an HTFU race to the max. Squared. Ok, but really, I'm sure most of you have run there. Its got some great climbs (Top of the world twice) and its just a good race. Even though I got lost last time...

I'm in for this one. Only did 17 miles last year. Had no idea that it would be that tough. Will be ready for it this year :-)

A friend mentioned this race, so I looked it up online. I haven't done a 50k...would this be a good choice for my first ultra? John in Cartersville

If you have an itch for running 50k, I believe this race is as good as any. Most 50k's are pretty tough compared to most road marathons out there. However, if you pace yourself and don't expect to finish in 3:30 it is a very enjoyable experience (and nothing like a road marathon).

i am really glad it got moved to the end of may. i didn't think the second trip to TOW was warm or sunny enough last year ;^)
at least the snakes will be a little more agile that late in the spring.

Hey guys. The web site for SweetH20 is currently @: sweetH20races.comTerrain, profile, pictures, snail mail application, online registration, and a damn fine photo of Rob Apple are all there for your decision-making pleasure. For me it's a no-brainer It's a really great place to run - go hit it in training and you'll see. The whole place is like the West Trail at Kennesaw. ...and I love me some west trail at Kennesaw. (is that the goat trail?)

I noticed in the Sweet H2O 2008 results that there were 62 finishers in the 50k. Assuming that some people did not finish, is there any chance this race will fill up? (250 is the max)
