I need to do some interval training and am finding it difficult locating a high school running track that is not locked. Does anybody know of a quarter mile track in Marietta/Roswell/Alpharetta that is open in the evenings or on the weekends?

Not sure if this helps ... On the rare occasion I do intervals, I do them on the flat trail at the Chattahoochee River Park at the end of Columns Drive. The road/trail is marked every quarter mile so it makes it easy to do quarter or half mile repeats. The loop is two or three miles depending on how you want to run it.

The track at Marist is open all the time.

Seems like Walton's Track is always open. Lights at night are another thing!!

Marietta HS track is always open (on Whitlock just outside Kennesaw Mtn park) and is very nice!
Marist is really nice too. it even has a cross-country course that goes around campus (good for warmup and warmdown). It is located just inside 285 on Ashford Dunwoody
Walton is good too. It is just off the 120 loop just west of Johnson Ferry
Another one that i like that is always open is Lovett. It is right next to the river on Paces Ferry Rd (2 miles inside 285). But the surface is not quite as nice as the others

Thanks for all of the suggestions!!! Walton is the closest so I'll try that first. I'll try the others as well for a little variety (well...as much variety as you can get from one quarter mile track to another).

Crap. I assumed they locked the gate. Now I've got no excuse keeping me from running over there for some speed work.
