connect.garmin.com/activity/1242609Here is what my Garmin said about the Marathon course. I'm thinking the elevation gain/loss is a little off here, however the elevation profile seems to be accurate. No matter what the data says, I had a great time. I do believe Janice is an evil genius when it comes to courses. Thanks again.

For those with a garmin....do the gain/loss and course distance typically come in less than/ more than the normal distance? I am looking to buy one and wanted to get an idea as to the accuracy.
Thanks,
Malcolm

I don't know how accurate the elevations are with Garmin 405. I know that my bike buddies feel that the Garmin 705 ( something like that) that uses barometric pressure is more accurate than the GPS elevation profile. In the trees I think the GPS would be even less accurate but it's better than nothing. The 405 is easy to use and wear. I really like it.
