Not much notice, but a few friends and I are going to run up Currahee Mountain tomorrow afternoon. I've never been up there, so have no idea what to expect. All I know it's 3 miles up and 3 back down. Barring heavy rain, I'm assuming a nice view at the top. We're meeting in Braselton at 1:00 PM to carpool up there. Plan on getting there around 2:00ish. Hopefully back by 5:00. (Meeting is at RunnersFit, www.runnersfit.com for directions. Or drop me a line and I can arrange with you.)

For those wondering, nice run on a forest service road. Lots of uphill. (3 miles of it.) More car traffic than expected. (The local kids mainly.) Good view at the top. I imagine doing repeats up this would be some really good training for something.

Yeah, we were talking about that, and saw the billoard for it. (One of the guys with us did it once.)
I didn't realize there was a 3 mile option. If you choose that, do you just get stuck at the top of the mountain until someone picks you up? hehe.

The 3 mile option is 1.5 out and turn back. Only 6 milers see the top. Clock is managed by Will Chamberlin : Classic Race Services " . Currahee is a must do for me in 2008. I was there as a 55-59 year age group runner in 2002, then in the 60-64 in 2003, and this year I will be in the 65-69. kman

The race looks interesting. Possible a nice "short" birthday run for me ;D I've added it to the Races/Events page.

Isn't that the same day as Stump Jump?
