Is there any interest in a GUTS team at the ATC Atlanta Ekiden Relay this year? (Sunday, September 21) True, it's neither ultra nor trail, but it sounds like it could be fun... www.atlantatrackclub.org/at04002.htmI was thinking of a GUTS Masters team. Has GUTS done this before?

I think Kim was interested in getting a team together.

I wouldn't mind getting in on this. I do not think I qualify as a master (36). I am typically not a short course racer but what the hell... I think I could probably run one 3.2 in 18:00 or two in 38:00 with a rest. Who knows with some encouragement from the team maybe even faster!

I think we have enough for a mixed open:
Me Tony Christian Janice
We need at least 4 and two women for a mixed open. Any other takers? We can have up to six on a team. Let me know by the end of the week.

Let me know by the end of the week. I'll guess that Tony and Christian contacted you separately. But what about amstel? It sounded like he wanted in also. If amstel is interested, then just one more person would be needed. I'm also working on getting a team formed in another group, but we're short on people. (And not as fast.)

I'm also working on getting a team formed in another group, but we're short on people. (And not as fast.) Amstel told me he'd contacted Kim. That makes 5 GUTS team members. Just one more person is needed for a full GUTS team. The other group I mentioned is now up to 4 people so I'm going to join them. IFF the GUTS team is short and the other team has 6, I'll go with GUTS. (Don't worry, this other group doesn't have many runners, we might not even make 6.) Which means, if you don't mind running with slower folks, I might have a spot for one slow-to-decide GUTS person...
