Here is the link to the results page: dbase.adventurecorps.com/results.php?bw_eid=23&bwr=GoLooks like a big year for the women! Pam Reed has moved into third place overall at the 90 mile aid station. Four of the eight folks that have reached that station are women. Right now it looks like 10 of the top 16 overall are women. Jorge Pacheco is blistering the course (14:19 at my 90) and Akos Konya is 45 minutes back. Pam Reed is almost three hours behind Konya. Dean Karnazes is in fourth. Jamie Donaldson is in fifth.

That's because it's a well known fact that women can endure more pain than men! I bet Dean and Pam are battling it out with each other!

Wow! Lisa Smith-Batchen is in 49th place with an additional 177 miles added onto 80 or so that she's completed so far at Badwater! To track Lisa's 810, check out tiny.cc/Lv5ppsean

I bet Dean and Pam are battling it out with each other! Dean had pulled back ahead of her at the 122 mile station, but by only 14 minutes. At that same station, Jamie Donaldson has now passed both of them and is in third overall. The first two are in! Jorge Pacheco hangs on to win by 29 minutes. Akos Konya finishes second, for the third year in a row! Both of the top two finished in under 24 hours! The winning time is 23:20:16. Wow! I just noticed David Coggins DNF'd at (or just after) the second aid station.

At the last aid station (Mile 131) Jamie Donaldson has an 18 minute lead over Dean Karnazes. Barring disaster, it looks like she will take third overall! Pam Reed was 14 minutes behind Dean at Mile 122. They just posted Dean's time ... so it will be interesting to see how close Pam is when her time comes across!

yup, Jamie ran strong and finished 3rd in 26:51. she was super fast the last 45 miles. her split from 90 to 122 (32 miles) was just 5:18, faster than anyone else in the field. amazing.
dean held on and finished 4th, beating Pam 27:11 to 27:42.
2 more women came in 7 and 8th. that's 4 of the top 8. very cool! especially considering 3 of the next 4 runners right now are women too!
;D
