I have been running on the Silver Comet for the past few weeks. Did my first 20 mile run , 10 up and back and I am wondering if the mile markers are correct. I started at mile 22 and turned around at mile 32. If the markers are correct then I ran the first two miles (22-24) at a 5:30 pace which is highly unlikely. But then some of the other "miles" seemed a lot further. Has anyone else noticed this and has anyone tried to confirm any of the mileage on the trail?

i have suspected that before, but did not really pay a lot of attention, especially since most miles i have done were on the bike, so i am less cognizant of the appropriate time for a mile. at scur we have 5K markers, and i never really heard anyone talk about issues wiht the standard silver comet path markers....maybe some of them could speak up on their experiences?
