Hi, I am new to the forum. Has anyone ran either the 50k or 50m race before. I have signed up for the 100 and I'm looking for some advice or info on the course. If you have ran one of these...did you have any problem with the altitude???

Hi Gail!
My husband and I are signed up for the 50 miler but will drop back to the 50K if they allow that sort of thing. I don't know anyone who has run this race before. Sorry! Good luck though, hopefully we can meet up at the race.

Well, it looks like we are heading toward an adventure ;D. Good luck in your race and I hope to meet the both of you. I may have to drop down to the 50m if my rt it band flares up. Right now its bothersome......but I'm going for it.

I did the 50K last year. Elev. varies up to ~9000 and you will run across some little snow fields but they are refreshing. The setting is really quite scenic. The toughest climb was coming out of the Little Red House area. Great typical Western run.

Hi Gail! Just a quick note that we won't be able to meet you at the Tahoe race. We've had a family emergency causing us to cancel our trip. Good luck! We'll watch for your results.

Take care and all mybest. There is always a race going on somewhere, but family comes first. I'm sure we will meet up at some race in the near future.
Best wishes.....Gail
