On 13 May 2006, the US Army Rangers, in Dahlonega, GA are once again sponsoring their annual Open House. Events include 5K and the 15K Mountain Ranger Runs. Both races start at Camp Frank D. Merrill and wind through the Chattahoochee National Forest in a hilly loop along non-paved Forest Service roads & trails. Unfortunately the 30K was replaced by other events so now I run the 15K. It's still a great run. Other events include: 34K Mountain Ranger Bike Race, 15K Ranger Team Run Challenge, 5K run/34K bike/2 Mile run Mountain Ranger Duathlon, and the popular One-Mile Fun Run. After the races, the Ranger put on an impressive Ranger's in Action Demonstration. It's an awesome time. Register at Active.com or go to the following link: www.5thrtb.org/rangerrun.htm

The 15k looks fun - Are there 5 others out there up for putting a team together? Its a week before twisted ankle, but hey, its just 9 miles right???

I'd be up for a team. I wish it was still 30K. Maybe we could run extra after. :-)
Can teams be mixed? Any issue with male/female/open/master? Janice

The run looks like fun, but I would be scared of doing the team run. After the first mile everyone would be dragging me along.
While the run looks like fun, something just came up for that weekend. maybe next year.

I'd be interested in running as part of a team. I won't push hard. I'm running Twisted Ankle the next weekend, but this would be a good tuneup for that.

I don't think they have a mixed team division.
