This sounds like a cool event in August.
The Wild West Relay is a 195-mile team relay race in Colorado designed for runners of all abilities. Scheduled around the full moon in August, the second annual running of the Wild West Relay will be Friday, August 19th - Saturday, August 20th, 2005
The relay begins by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Fort Collins, Colorado, and finishes in the beautiful ski and summer resort town of Steamboat Springs. Much of this very scenic and remote course runs through National Forests or along dirt roads. The route winds through Roosevelt, Medicine Bow, and Routt National Forests, and through small, mountain and ranching communities.
Categories Men’s Women’s Open Mixed Master’s (all team members over 40 years of age) Hash House Harriers (the red dress division) Flatlanders (all team members live below 2,500 feet) Ultra 6x1 – each person runs one leg Ultra 6x6 – each person runs six legs in rotation
Any interest? slug

I saw this relay early on and asked Bill and Sue about it but Bill wants to do Leadville..either running the whole thing or pacing someone.

Hey I was thinking about leadville, this looks cool too. I am not as fast and enduring as most of you guys but if you need someone give me a shout and I will see if I can get off work. I will have to be in Oklahoma one weekend that month to pick up my daughter and it is just a small long drive farther.
