I noticed that some of you might be doing OD, I will be there the weekend before for at ODM, it is held memorial weekend is anybody else going. I am going to reserve a room this week for fri and sat night I travel with a 12 year old if anybody else is going and maybe wants to kick in or pay for Sunday that would be cool, I am a student so I am always broke. The race is real small and so far most of the runners signed up I met last year I don't think there will be any problem with the race filling up. This one the room is the hard thing because it is close to D.C. Memorial weekend!!! Guys were sleeping in there cars in the parking lot last year. MASSANUTTEN Well I am in!! Anybody else going??? Anybody bringing an extra pacer??? I will be doing the tent in the campground thing. I sure wanted to do Umstead, but they filled too fast I did not get student loan in time. I don't think Massanutten was a real good choice for trying to get my first 100 finish, but what the heck I never do things the easy way, not when I can take the longer, steeper, more treacherous way dah. Hay and very few people,no women have finished in under 24 hours so I will be getting my moneys worth, I figure atleast 30 hours on the trail. I will start out shooting for 24, but I know not to let it break my heart when gets out of reach. It looks like almost double the climb of Oak Mountain 50K per mile anybody know how it compares??

I would say that MMT is much, much harder than Oak Mtn, mile per mile. Comparison is difficult. MMT has very long, difficult climbs and lots of ROCKS. I mean LOTS of them. This is a race only a billy goat could love. Not that there is anything wrong with that! Janice best of 26+ at MMT
