You know what is suprising, and mildly unsettling? The number of threads where someone seeks advice or asks a question about something, and there are dozens of views, but zero or one reply.

In the time I replied to your e-mail, deleted it and viewed it again.... I see it has been viewed 24 times now with no response. So as not to be accused of being a non-responder I will reply again.....
I don't think anyone wants my advise. I try to leave that up to the experts....folks like Grizzly......
I don't wear a watch, I don't time my runs, I don't do track work, I don't keep a log. I try to do aerobics twice a week and try to get in one 6 mile run. On the week-ends I will either do a race of 5k to 100k or do a longer run at Kennesaw and if I get talked into traveling to North Georgia I'll do a run there.....
My advise is to relax, enjoy the scenary and just have fun. No one plan will work for everyone. You just have to find what works for you and want you want to get out of it. I personally like to enjoy the scenary and have fun. ;D

Or... we don't have any experience in these particular injuries. Any questions on compound fractures of the lower leg treated at great length by incompetent physicians? I can give you advise there... Run, hop, crawl, or slither as far away as possible! As for training, you're likely better off with someone else's advise. I'm not getting in the miles, time or even running on the terrain I should.

I think we all feel that someone else is more qualifed to answer, so we keep out mouths shut! Seriously. I mean, geesh, if Sally ain't qualified, then no one is! Gosh, I know I ain't qualified, being pathetically slow and all. I always feel as though my "training techniques" aren't good enough for most folks, and they darn sure aren't the way to win. But I can get you to a finish Speaking of which, hoping for #7 at Mtn Mist this weekend...

I am very quiet ;D No, really
Anyway, was there a question that I missed? Or is the question simply "why don't more people speak up?"
I promise from now on I will be more bossy and opinionated. Griz

Grizzly, You got the question. Not sure I like your answer though. ;D I believe we all could do better at offering advice. After all it's only advice. Not a directive.

Much love for the responses to my quirky post - I am certainly not going to feel bossed or demeaned when hearing advice on training, running, or just making it all flow.... My limited experience in running looooonnnng has been much less painful, much more fun and much more productive for all the information out there in cyber-land. I accept what I like, ignore what I dont, but I appreciate it all. Keep it coming!
