Hi, all. I'm new here, and while not new to running, I have not done an ultra before.
I ran across the FA 50K, and was wondering if finishing it is a realistic goal. I have run almost 50K in training (30 miles)-- but that was on the roads, not the trails. If I move some runs to trails between now and then, is completing this run a possibility?
(I only ask because I have read that it is not horribly technical, and "easy" so far as 50K trail runs go.)
((I posted this elsewhere, but in someone else's thread, so it occured to me it might not be seen. Sorry for the re-post.)

if you have run almost that far in training, then i am sure with all our encouragement, you will make the 50K that day
biggest difference between the road and the FA, may be the hills?? There are 2 steep climbs. For the most part the trail is very easy, although the section at the top of Pigeon Hill is rocky.
Why not join us for the training run on Dec 17? We will be running the FA loop. janice

All done very slowly though. I will definately come out on the 17th if I am not working. Thanks for your responses!
