My Garmin 305 says the run from Burnt Hickory past the IL Monument to the five mile loop and back is 9.5 miles, but it can't record true altitude changes and the hills definitely add distance. Anybody got a better measurement on this route?

I believe it is closer to 10 or so, best as I can remember. Hope this helps.
Hope everyone is having a great day

I found this thread when I was looking for a trail run while I was in Atlanta for work. I'm glad I made the drive to Kennesaw yesterday. I did the from Burnt Hickory, to the Illinois Monument and the Kolb's Farm loop. I think I ran about 10.5 miles and enjoyed the park very much.
One question....does anyone know where all the bamboo came from? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the thicket of bamboo near Powder Springs Road. I would never have imagined to have seen that in Georgia.
If you ever make it up to the Cleveland/Akron area make sure to visit the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Check out the Burning River 100 or the Buckeye Trail 50k.

There is lots of bamboo in GA. Born n raised here, seen it all my life. My dad used to stake tomato plants with it in out garden when I was young.
