A few folks have told me lately that they would love to run the Sope Creek trails but would like to run them (the first time) with somebody who knows the trails back there. So .... in case anybody is interested, I'm planning on running about 12-18 miles there this Saturday. (distance depends on whether I can find my mojo by Saturday). Right now I'm planning on starting at about 7:00 AM, but I'd be happy to start at 6:30 if that's more convenient. Also, for folks who would rather run a shorter distance I'd be happy to show you loops of 5 to 7 miles that are scenic, and easy to learn for your next trip out there. I plan on starting from the Sope Creek parking lot. It is located on Paper Mill Road. Here is a link to the Chattahoochee River Park website for directions: www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/sopecreek.htmBTW - the water fountain at Sope Creek has been broken for a few weeks. I'm going to run there tomorrow and will let you know if it has been fixed. But not to worry ... bring a water bottle. And there are three other fountains we will pass in the course of the run. (one other, if you are only going 6 miles)

Definitely going to be there as well! I might show early and get a jump on it to beat the heat, as though that were possible.

I am sorry that I am going to have to miss it, but you all have a good run.
