I ran the half last year and it was alot of fun! really rainy that day but it was so much fun. I am glad they are offering the full!
I just hope one day they will offer and Ultra option
Tim is a great RD and makes sure everything runs smoothly! I stand by the Dirty Spokes crew and their races. They are great.
one of my favorite races is a half marathon called Bull Mountain they do. I hope they will consider doing a full marathon of it this year!

Trail marathons are great but it would be nice to have one without repeating loops.

I dunno, I think a 13 mile loop is big enough to not get too bored. (Especially if you're only doing it 2 times.)

I agree with you! but the thing is with the small # of people running the full you can have the bigger numbers with the half and then keep the course open for the full. It also allows fewer aid stations/volunteers and easier to keep track of people. you only have to sweep 13.1 miles not 26.2
I like having the full option on some races. Because will all the people around on the first loop I dont get bored. until the 2nd loop when i dont see anyone for an hour.
Let me stress again that the bull mountain course would be such a wicked marathon. forget your PR im sure the winning time would be 4 hours.
I just emailed Tim. ;D
