Volunteers are needed for Pinhoti Aid Stations!
GUTS will again be hosting 2 stations at Pinhoti. Same 2 as last year (#4-mile 23 and #14-The Pinnacle @mile 75). Last year we had enough time after closing down #4 to go eat mellow mushroom pizza in Anniston before proceeding to the Pinnacle. GUTS will treat volunteers to lunch!
Volunteers also receive a shirt from the Pinhoti race and a patch from GUTS! Supplies will be provided by the race and GUTS, although i know the runners are always happy for extra special items (eg: fried egg sandwiches!!)
Please send an email to getguts@hotmail.com and include which station(s) you can work and your t-shirt size. We will help coordinate carpools for those that volunteer.

I know it is early, but I am thinking about volunteering to help at Pinhoti. Will GUTS have an aid station this year?
Thanks, John in Cartersville

I know it is early, but I am thinking about volunteering to help at Pinhoti. Will GUTS have an aid station this year? Thanks, John in Cartersville thanks for the reminder! yes, we were planning to have the GUTS aid stations again this year. We have manned AS 4 (23miles) and 14 (75miles-top of Pinnacle) the last 2 years. AS14 really requires 4-wheel drive to get to and is an over-night location (open=5pm; close=4:13am). We can switch to AS10 (55miles-Adams gap), if no one wants to man the Pinnacle. But it is a uniqure location. Please let me know if you are interested. Best to email at getguts@hotmail.com with subject "Pinhoti volunteer" thanks!

Anyone else interested in volunteering at Pinhoti aid stations?
We are still looking for folks for both the morning station (AS4-setup by 10am EST) and the night station (AS14-The Pinnacle-open 6pm-4am)
Let us know soon as we may not be able to do both stations with out a couple more people

I'm pacing, but could come work Pinnacle after I'm done, although I'd have to hike in

I might be able to do the first aid station. What time are people needed there? I drive out to Jacksonville and back for my oldest who's going to school there, so getting out there isn't a problem for me even though I'll have her at home that weekend. I can bring her along to help too.
