To what date has this been (re)scheduled?
For reasons I can't explain, mapmyrun doesn't like me, therefore I have no idea where the trail is. Would someone be willing to send me either a screen capture or text description?

I'm assuming you are on a mac? Mapmyrun isn't so friendly with mac's yet.

Thanks for the screen capture. For a look with topology info check this map: gastateparks.org/net/content/page.aspx?s=147825.0.1.5Download the attachment on the above web page for even more details on the terrain. It looks like the "missing" part is approx. between the 3.5 mile mark and 4 mile mark. Or between the Iron Hill and the Campground trails. Is this correct?

Wow, a choice of 3 start times! Is there a planned finish time? I need to forward this information to my scheduler/planner to see if I can attend.

Should we bring anything (tools, etc.) if we can make it up there, Sunday?
I plan to come at 8:00 a.m. to trot and then work some...

there isn't a planned end time but you can certainly leave whenever you need to. we will have some eats too, so no one gets too hungry working out there
tools - yes, bring clippers, rakes, your own gloves...
Donald - what else should they bring? We (GUTS) don't have any trail clearing tools so we are relying on what people bring with them

I have something planned for early afternoon, so I may have to leave early. I haven't seen the section of trail being built. However, the following can be useful: - Comfortable gloves
- Sunscreen/Bug spray
- Fluids
- Yard or garden rake
- Shovel
- Weed Cutters (Swizzle Stick/Swing Blade)
- Loppers (Lopping Shears/Pruning Shears)
- Machete
- Brush Axe (Sandvik)
- Brush Hook (Bush Hook/Ditch Blade)
- Axe
- Pruner/Clipper
- Pole Saw with Pole Pruner
- Bow saw/Pruning saw
- Pulaski/Mattock
- Hoe
- McLeod
- Pry Bar (if rocky)
- Pick (if rocky)
Bring what you have and we'll share. Oh, and if you are a not a GUTS member, but want to try out the course, please join us. Stay, if you can, to work on the trail. Everyone is welcome!

I'm bringing a machete and few more implements of destruction
will be runnin' too --- barring any perhaps-soon-to-be-found issues, soreness etc... from this morning's run.

Can somone give specifics on where the Iron Hill parking lot is? gastateparks.org/content/Georgia/parks/trail_maps/RedTopMtn_map.pdfThe Iron Hill trail is in blue. The parking is marked with a "P". We will be working on a trail between the Iron Hill (Blue) and Campground (Orange) trails (between miles 3.5 and 4 in the illustration earlier in this thread.
