Update!! We will be providing a portion of the race proceeds to A boy and his dog.
Raising money to purchase an Autism Service dog for Luceas. He is almost 5 years old and is a complete joy, but some days we fear for his safety and worry that he does not feel connected to anyone in our household. He is mostly non-verbal and what little communication he is capable of is understood mostly by immediate family. Luceas is very outgoing and loving and that is a blessing when dealing with autism, but it sometimes puts him in a vulnerable position. He is very trusting and does not seem to register danger, even in it's most evident forms. Our sincerest hope is that this dog will be a help to us in protecting Luceas and also provide him with a friend that does not require verbal communication to connect. You can find out more on the facebook ... search for "a boy and his dog"

Tick Tock! the series is a fantastic deal with three times the swag! but please come out a least for the Bike race and other fun.
Also remember the $10 refund for visiting us on Facebook!
We promise great racing and a really good time!
If the navigation is what you are unsure of we will pair your team up with an experienced navigator. We will do everything we can to help first time navigators learn about reading maps. Map reading will help you in all your running and racing because you will be able to better decipher a route/course without having run it and know where the climbs and descents are. It's never bad to know where you are on a map even when you aren't standing in an intersection.

I was talking with friends about this race last night and none of them had ever used a compass. I thought this looked like a race that would be hard to get seriously lost, but??? Thx

!!!Guts Members!!!
I'd like to open an option to you for what I'm calling the "I just want to race" entry. This is a no frills entry no shirt no raffle tickets just you racing.
Register for the Trek AR (note you can do it as a team or solo) mention the GUTS "I just want to race" in the PayPal check-out comments and we will immediately issue you a refund of $45 for a solo entry and $40 for a Team entry. That means your entry is only $25 per person.
You will still be eligible for prizes if you win and we will have other ways to get raffle tickets for example donating to your featured charity A Boy and his Dog.
Cool?
*note this entry in not eligible for the FB Post discount
