Does anyone know anything about this race? I can't find much info online (http://www.rockcreek.com/lookout/), but it looks like it's a new race this year in Chattanooga on Dec. 20th.
Is anyone planning on running it? I'm tempted, but also a little sqeamish to run my first 100K at a first year event. Any thoughts?

I am running it. You're right, there's little information about it. I am going with a group of guys who are headquartered at Northstar Bicycles in Dawsonville. I ran Chickamauga Marathon, so at least I know I want to stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Chattanooga, as they have flat screen TV and excellent showers. Otherwise, I am clueless, except for the trail map and insane elevation chart. I'll post more as I get more info. At least book your hotel room at the Marriott. You'll want a nice, cushy place to crash (and this was the nicest place the wife would let me rent).
Since we know so little about it, you should get a hold of the race director. You should also bring the kitchen sink. 3 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of socks, blister kit, Hydropel, Hammer Endurolytes, Heed, energy bars, gels, Hammer Perpetuum, bottles, water, bottle holders, fanny pack, backpack, Camelback, pocket knife, gloves, and probably some toilet paper.
You think I'm kidding?

Check out www.runintheboonies.com. That's the Chattanooga running club/group and there is some discussion on the forum.
I'll see you all up there. I'm not driving in til the morning and will stay at a friend's that night, whenever I finally finish!
